Abstract

Pathological flour albus can occur at all ages from a young age or old age and is not related to educational, economic and socio-cultural levels. The use of pantyliners is considered more practical by health students to overcome flour albus. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between pantyliner use and the incidence of pathological flour albus in health students. This research method uses quantitative cross sectional design, sampling with cluster random sampling techniques using the chi square test. The results of the study found that the number of respondents was 303 health students, most of whom (89,1%) did not experience patological flour albus and who used pantyliners well more than half (70,3%), The results of statistical tests obtained a p value of 0.011<0.05 mean that there is a significant relationship between the use of pantyliners and the incidence of pathological flour albus in health students at Sriwijaya Indralaya University obtained by health students at Sriwijaya Indralaya University most (60,4%) use pantyliners well do not experience pathological flour albus, on the contrary, most (28,7%) female students use pantyliners poorly do not experience pathological flour albus events, The OR value is 4.754 which means that female students who use pantyliners experience pathological flour albus events of 4.7 or female students who use pantyliners have a risk of experiencing pathological flour albus events of 77%. This study can conclude that a female student must add insight in the field of health, especially about reproductive health early so as not to develop cervical cancer and problems with reproductive organs, so it is recommended to increase knowledge and learning about reproductive health in adolescents, especially about the use of pathological pantyliners and flour albus.
