Abstract

Soil is very important for plant growth and is a means of developing roots. The function of soil is not only as a place for plant growth, but also as a provider of nutrients. Fertilization aims to maintain and improve soil fertility and increase plant production, but continuous use of fertilizer can cause the heavy metal content in the soil to increase. P fertilizer is a fertilizer that contains the heavy metal Cadmium (Cd) so that continuous use of P fertilizer can increase the content of the heavy metal Cadmium (Cd) in the soil. Soil sampling was determined using the Stratified Sampling method, namely based on the age range of the plants. The results of the research show that the content of the heavy metal cadmium (Cd) in the top till layer and underground andisol till layer in the tea plantation owned by PTPN VII Pagar Alam Unit has not exceeded the threshold value.
