Abstract

Government efforts to improve transportation services of Palembang City by build a Light Rail Transit (LRT) with several point stations, Pasar Cinde on Jl. Jendral Sudirman is one of them. Beside of that, the construction of Aldiron Plaza Cinde was built. The increased number of activities due to the development is predicted to have a positive impact on potential LRT users in Cinde station. This study aims to find out the comparison of LRT mode selection with private cars and motorcycles, include the percentage of estimation visitors at Cinde Market who will use LRT. Data obtained from the results of questionnaires survey from cars and private motorcycles passenger by used the stated preference method and used attributes influence in the form of travel costs and travel time. The survey results were collected and then performed linear regression analysis and modeling was done by using binomial logit model. The results showed the utility equation to model modal choice based on the difference between the cost of travel and travel time is ULRT – UMobil Pribadi = - 4,29901 - 0,23182x1 - 0,00044x2 dan ULRT – UMotor Pribad= 0,74927 - 0,12033x1 - 0,00037x2. The results obtained by analysis of the amount. The analysis result shows the percentage prediction of visitors of Pasar Cinde who will use LRT compared to private car as much as 1,593 trip/hour, compared to private motor 2,034 trip/hour.
