Abstract

The experiment is to examine the influence giving gambir waste and compos bunch empty palm oil to growth and production of red pepper (Capsicum annum L.) at polibag. This experiment was conducted ffom August 2007 until November 2007 in experimental garden of Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The experiment design was randomized block design with seven treatments annum and three replications, each treatments consisted of five plant, so that got 105 plant. Treatment is Ko (without treatment), K] (50 g gambir waste per plant), K2 (100 g gambir waste per plant), K3 (150 g gambir waste per plant), K4 (1 kg compos bunch empty palm oil per plant), K5 (2 kg compos bunch empty palm oil per plant), and (3 kg compos bunch empty palm oil plants). The parameters observed was plant height, flower time, ffuits weight, amount of fruits, wet weight, and dry weight. Examination result showed that giving compos bunch empty palm oil of 1 kg doses per plants giving real influence to plant height, flower time, wet weight and dry weight of plant.
