Abstract

Tepung maggot BSF (TMB) dan tepung ikan gabus (TIG) memiliki Antimicrobial peptide dan senyawa lain sebagai antibakteri yang bersifat bakterisidal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri kombinasi TMB dan TIG terhadap Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus. Uji aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan mencari Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) TMB dan TIG tunggal, Konsentrasi Bunuh Minimum (KBM) TMB dan TIG, KHM kombinasi dan nilai (Fractional Inhibitory Concentration Index (FICI). Hasil penelitian KHM TMB tunggal 3% dengan zona hambat 2.17 ± 0.624 mm (Lemah) terhadap Escherichia coli dan 2.3 ± 0.236 mm (Lemah) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Hasil penelitian KHM TIG tunggal 0.75% dengan zona hambat 2.0 ± 0.408 mm (Lemah) terhadap Escherichia coli dan 3.17 ± 0.850 (Lemah) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Hasil penelitian KBM TMB pada konsentrasi 7% dan KBM TIG pada konsentrasi 10% terhadap Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus. Hasil penelitian KHM kombinasi pada konsentrasi 1/4:1/4 dengan zona hambat 4.5 ± 0.816 mm (Lemah) terhadap Escherichia coli dan 3 ± 0.408 mm (Lemah) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Nilai FICI kombinasi terhadap Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus adalah 0.5 yang termasuk kategori sinergis. Kombinasi TMB dan TIG memiliki efek yang lebih besar dibandingkan efek antibakteri tunggal. Kata Kunci : Maggot BSF, Ikan Gabus, KHM, KBM, FICI.
