Abstract
Early detection of vector resistance for insecticides is searching and finding out the vectors that show symptoms of tolerance or potential resistance to a type of insecticide. Temephos is effective organophosphate larvicide that used to control a number of pathogen-carrying insects, including Ae. agypty with a dose concentration determined by WHO is 0.02 ppm. The objective of the research was to analyze the density level of Ae. aegypti and determine the resistance status of Ae. aegypti in the Boom Baru Port Working Area of Palembang and Baturaja Health Research and Development Center was the resistance test location. This type of resistance test research is a pure experimental explanatory method with a post test only control group design approach. The research results from observations of 100 buildings obtained 7% of House Index , 3.86% of Container Index of and 9% of Breteau Index with the medium density figure category for these three entomological indices, there is risk of dengue fever transmission in this area. SPSS calculations obtained a significant parameter estimate value of 0.000 and a chi square of 0.854. This value indicates that the conditions for carrying out a probit regression test where the sig value of the estimated parameter must be below 0.05 and above the sig chi square must be above 0.05 have been accepted. The results of the resistance tests carried out, it was found that resistance to Ae. aegypti larvae had occurred at all test concentrations.
