Abstract

The growth of technology has reached the financial sector including the development of payment instruments. Payment methods in Indonesia began with a barter system, followed by the invention of coins then paper-based money until technological developments introduced an e-payment or cashless payment system. E-payment itself is categorized into several types, one of which is a digital wallet (e-wallet). Among the types of e-wallet services today, DANA and OVO applications are applications that have a fairly consistent number of active users every month and are in the top three positions. Competition is increasing rapidly and companies continue to try to improve each service feature in the application because the success of the application depends on user satisfaction with the technology presented. So this research was conducted to find out the comparison of user experience, level of success and factors that influence application performance between DANA and OVO applications. The method used is a combination of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) with three variables and End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) with 5 variables. Data obtained through the distribution of questionnaire links in Palembang City as many as 300 respondents. With the withdrawal of nine hypotheses for each application, eight were accepted and one was rejected for the DANA application, while the OVO application, six were accepted and three were rejected. The rejected hypothesis will be an indicator of suggestions to each company to be improved and improved again. Overall, the DANA application is superior to two indicators when compared to the OVO application.
