Abstract

Pengkondisian udara merupakan suatu proses mendinginkan udara sehingga dapat mencapai temperatur dan kelembaban yang sesuai dengan yang dipersyaratkan terhadap kondisi udara dari suatu rancangan tertentu. Proses pengkondisian udara disetiap gedung berbeda-beda, walaupun bentuk gedung sama tapi perencanaannya sangat berbeda. Hal ini disebabkan karena letak geografis, kondisi matahari dan faktor -faktor lain. Dalam perencaan ini direncanakan beban pendingin, distribusi udara serta peralatan utama seperti kondensor, evaporator dan kompresor. Kinerja dari sebuah mesin refrigerasi sangat bergantung pada hasil perhitungan beban pendingin gedung tersebut sehingga bisa diperkiraan seberapa besar unit pengkondisian yang dipakai. Untuk perencanaan gedung TTC ini digunakan 4 unit refrigerasi dengan sistem udara penuh, dimana 1 unit mesin refrigerasi dengan beban pendingin sebesar 2052.8 ton refrigerasi. Disamping itu juga direncanakan distribusi udara tiap lantai supaya udara yang disuplai terdistribusi dengan baik ke setiap ruangan di dalam gedung. Untuk mendistribusikan udara tersebut digunakan duet yang dimensinya bergantung pada jumlah udara yang disuplai ke ruangan. Untuk peralatan utama seperti evaporator digunakan evaporator dengan jenis koil ekspansi langsung (DX- coil), kondensor dengan pendingin udara dan kompresor torak.
