Abstract
This study aims to analyze what problems are identified by prospective biology teachers that must be solved through PTK, what actions are used by prospective biology teachers to overcome these problems, and what results are obtained after applying the selected actions. The subjects in this study were biology teacher candidates who participated in the pre-service Teacher Professional Education program period II at Sriwijaya University, totaling 26 people. The results at the analysis stage show that the problems identified are low learning outcomes, activeness, students have difficulty understanding the material, low learning motivation, low critical thinking skills, lack of interest in learning, teachers still use the lecture method, and there are still many teachers who have difficulty in utilizing technology. The actions taken by prospective biology teachers are PBL model, E-LKPD, and discovery learning model, differentiated learning, wordwall game media, TaRL approach, quiz media, cooperative learning, and KWL approach. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the most identified problem is learning outcomes with a percentage of 23%, activeness 18%, and difficulty understanding the material 15%. While the most used action for prospective biology teachers is the PBL model with a percentage of 38%, E-LKPD 16%, and discovery learning 16%. The results obtained 88% of prospective teachers managed to overcome the problems that arose in cycle II and 12% succeeded in cycle III.
