Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the level of Self-Control and Fear of Missing Out in Guidance and Counseling students at Sriwijaya University and the correlation or relationship between these two variables. This type of research is quantitative research with correlational methods. This research involved 164 students as research samples obtained using the Slovin formula. The results of this research show that the level of Self-Control of students is in the medium category with a percentage of 39% (64 students) and the level of Fear of Missing Out of students is also in the medium category with a percentage of 44% (72 students). Then the correlation coefficient (r) = - 0.647 and sig (2-tailed) 0.000 or < 0.05, which means there is a significant negative relationship between Self- Control and Fear of Missing Out. So it can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between Self-Control and Fear of Missing Out in Guidance and Counseling students at Sriwijaya University.
