Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) Identify and describe the characteristics of changes in climate elements, productivity and rice farming income in Ogan Ilir Regency. (2) Analyzing the level of relationship or correlation between climate variables and rice productivity in Ogan Ilir Regency. This location was chosen deliberately with the consideration that the three locations were areas with the highest rice productivity in Ogan Ilir Regency. This research was carried out by collecting data on climate elements and rice productivity from 3 sub-districts in Ogan Ilir Regency by accessing data from a website developed by NASA and visiting related agencies. Data collection was carried out in February. The research method used is a method that utilizes existing secondary data. The data processing method is carried out using descriptive statistical analysis to explain the characteristics of the variables in detail and correlation analysis to identify the magnitude of the relationship between variables. The data is presented in tabular form and then explained in detail. The research results show that the average temperature in Ogan Ilir Regency is 26.27 oC and ranges from 26.13 oC to 26.41oC. The average air humidity in Ogan Ilir Regency is 87.79% and ranges from 86.92% to 88.86%. The average rainfall in Ogan Ilir Regency is 2,464 mm and ranges from 2,104 mm to 2,823 mm. The average rice productivity in Ogan Ilir Regency is 4,178 tonnes/ha and ranges from 3,848 tonnes/ha to 4,508 tonnes/ha. The average income from rice farming in Ogan Ilir Regency is IDR 12,277,000 and ranges from IDR 10,464,000 to IDR 14,090,000. It was then explained that temperature in Ogan Ilir Regency has a very strong relationship with rice plant productivity, while air humidity and rainfall have a fairly strong relationship with rice plant productivity. Meanwhile, rice productivity has a strong relationship with rice farming income in Ogan Ilir Regency. Keywords: climate elements, income, paddy, productivity, relationship
