Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika terhadap pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan STEM. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data penelitian ini berupa kuesioner yang terdiri dari 4 item pertanyaan dan 48 item pernyataan dengan menggunakan skala likert dengan rentang skor 1-5. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini berupa data kuesioner yang diberikan kepada 59 Mahasiswa semester V Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Sriwijaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata 61% mahasiswa telah mendengar STEM dan rata-rata 39% mahasiswa baru pertama kali mendengar istilah STEM. Persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika terhadap pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan STEM dari indikator sikap, pendapat dan lingkungan diperoleh dengan masing-masing rata-rata adalah 74,7%, 74,01% dan 74,8% dengan kategori baik.
