Abstract

Rice crops are one of the main sources of food and income for farmers. Rice farmers have the option to market their crops in the form of grain and rice. The objectives of this study are as follows: (1) To compare production costs between rice farmers who sell grain with farmers who sell rice in Daro II City Village, Ogan Ilir Regency. (2) To analyze farmers' income between farmers who sell grain and farmers who sell rice in Daro II City Village, Ogan Ilir Regency. (3) To analyze the factors influencing the decision of farmers to sell products in the form of grain and rice in Daro II City Village, Ogan Ilir Regency. This research was conducted in Kota Daro II Village, Rantau Panjang District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The research methods used are survey methods and stratified random sampling methods. The data used consists of primary data and secondary data. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The production costs of farmers who sell rice are higher than farmers who sell grain. (2) The income of farmers who sell rice tends to be higher than that of farmers who sell grain. (3) Factors that influence farmers' decisions in selling products in the form of grain and rice include production and capital factors. Meanwhile, factors such as land area, price, income, and dependence on middlemen do not affect the decision of farmers who sell the crop.
