Abstract

In a procedure that the goverment supports, however, in reality some children may experience Post-Immunization Follow-up Event (AEFI). AEFI generally causes a negative response from the community towards basic immunization activities due to fear of the impacts. This negative response arose due to the ignorace of the public in dealing with AEFI. This impact more or less affect to the completeness of child immunization status. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers regardling AEFI to the completeness of immunization in infants at the Posyandu in Seribandung Village. The research design is analytic research with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study were infants aged 0-12 months in Seribubandung Village Posyandu with a total of 85 respondents. The result of the significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers regarding AEFI to the completeness of basic immunization of infants. High knowledge will increase the motivation awareness, and attitude of mothers to immunize their children. Thus, there will be a desire to add more comprehensive sources of information related to immunization. A proper understanding of immunization will lead ro a tendency for mother to act to immunize their children.
