Abstract
The preparation of Ni-Mo/Al2O3-SiO2 catalyst can be carried out by using Al2O3-SiO2 as the support that is modified with a variety of templates. The purpose of preparation of Ni-Mo/Al2O3-SiO2 catalyst template EDTA and Al2O3-SiO2 template EDTA to be applied to the hydrocracking process. The catalysts were characterized using XRD, PSA, FTIR, SAA, SEM-EDX, TPD-NH3, as well as analyzing the hydrocracking products using GCMS. hydrocracking products using GC-MS. The results showed the best catalyst was Ni-Mo/Al2O3-SiO2 EDTA template with a variation of 25 g Al which is supported by the TPD-NH3 catalyst with an acidity level of 0.46 mmol/g, SAA with a surface area of 64,92 m²/g, PSA with a particle size of 6.26 μm, SEM-EDX with a ratio of Al and Si elements of 4%, FTIR with vibrations of the Ni-O functional group at 562.33 cm-1 absorption band, and XRD with an angle intensity of 2θ = 26.72o in the form of amorphous silica. Results of hydrocracking product analysis on GC-MS obtained conversion on Ni-Mo/Al2O3-SiO2 catalyst EDTA template of 25 g Al amounted to 91.73% with biogasoline yield of 18.47%, bioavtur yield of 58%, and biodiesel yield of 2%. Based on the results of the study the amount of weight aluminum can produce catalyst characteristics and performance in hydrocracking performance in hydrocracking that is better.
