Abstract

Pada Tugas Akhir ini penulis menjelaskan tentang penggunaan motor induksi tiga fasa yang digunakan pada belt conveyor dan menghitung kemampuan daya sebuah motor belt conveyor 5853V PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang. Penulis menemukan kerusakan yang sering terjadi pada motor induksi tiga fasa di belt conveyor 5853V. Penulis ingin mengetahui penyebab terjadinya kerusakan pada motor induksi tiga fasa di belt conveyor tersebut. Kerusakan yang terjadi pada unit belt conveyor 5853V di karenakan besarnya daya yang diperlukan untuk menggerakkan bahannya merupakan daya nominal dari motor (daya pada name plate). Akhirnya disimpulkan bahwa, daya motor yang terpasang tidak sesuai dengan kemampuan dari beban conveyor. Penulis menyarankan untuk kelancaran operasi agar motor yang terpasang diganti dengan motor berdaya lebih besar.
