Abstract
This research is a Classroom Action Research that aims to improve student’s science process skills through Problem Based Instruction. The research subject is XII IPA1 class Senior High School 1 Payaraman academic year 2017/2018 which consisted of 28 students. Implementation of the research that consisted three cycles with each cycle contains are two sessions. Stages of each cycle are plan, act, observe, and reflect. Data were obtained from the performance of student’s science process skills in the final test cycle. The average percentage of student’s science process skills before treatment (T0) 46,36%. In the first cycle (T1) of 53,47%, the second cycle (T2) of 73,36%, and 88,09% for the third cycle (T3). The research results showed that the application of the Problem Based Instruction could improve students’ science process skills class XII IPA1 Senior High School 1 Payaraman.
