Abstract

This research aims to find out how effective fingerprint attendance is in improving the discipline of civil servants (PNS) in the General Election Commission (KPU) of South Sumatra Province. This type of research is qualitative descriptive using the theory of Tangkilisa Effectiveness, Target Achievement, Adaptability, Job Satisfaction , Responsibilities of the data collection method used by direct interviews with staff and Civil Servants (PNS) of the South Sumatra KPU. The results of the research show that the effectiveness of fingerprint attendance in improving the discipline of civil servants (PNS) in the General Election Commission (KPU) of Sumatra Province south, civil servants (PNS) of the general election commission (KPU) of South Sumatra province have experienced increased discipline in their work. Apart from that, this research contributes to further understanding of how fingerprint attendance can improve the discipline of civil servants (PNS) in the General Election Commission (KPU) of South Sumatra province. The implications of the results of this research can be a basis for civil servants (PNS) related to improving and optimizing the effectiveness of finger print attendance in the future. After concluding, the author found that the KPU of South Sumatra province had used the effectiveness of finger print attendance well, this was tested with 4 indicators from the Tangkilisan theory.
