Abstract

One Aspect that needs attention in mining activities is the issue of water management. To carry out management in a mine water management system, several aspects need to be considered. At the end of 2022, problems occured in the west pit where high rainfall caused water to overflow and inundate the area in front of the mining area, thereby disrupting mining activities. Therefore, in dealing with this problem, re-planning is needed regarding the existing distribution system, with the aim of ensuring that the mining process at PT. Bina Sarana Sukses PMSS site in the following years can run optimally. The methods used in this research include calculating planned rainfall using the Gumbel method, rainfall intensity using the mononobe method, runoff water discharge using the rational calculation method, planning sump dimension referring to KEPMEN 1827 of 2018 No. 17 paragraph 1, calculate the optimal discharge and working time of the pump and plan the dimensions of the sludge settling pond. From the results of these calculations, it is obtained that the planned rainfall is 31.52mm/day with a return period of 2 years, the rainfall intensity is 2.08 mm/hour, the runoff water discharge is 16,110.95 m3/day, the sump dimensions are the volume 145,495 m3, the discharge of the Dnd200 pump is 920,845 m3/hour and the XH300 pump is 1,150.38 m3/hour with the optimal time for the pump to work for 9 hours/day, and the dimensions of the sludge settling pond are 10,430,112 m3
