Abstract

The objective of the research was to see the flowering respons of Dendrobium orchid (D. burana jade >< D. burana green) to application of different types of foliar fertilizer. The research was conducted in the shading house, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, from June 2008 to Januari 2009. The experimental design was Factorial Randomized Block design with two factors. The first factor was four types of foliar fertilizers : The red Growmore (Pj), blue Hyponex (P2), orange Growmore (P3) and B-Gandasil (P4). The second factor was three consentrations : 1 g/1 (Ki), 2 g/1 (K2) and 3 g/1 of waters (K3), so there are 12 treatments, consisted of plants with 3 replications and there were 108 plants. The fertilizer was sprayed under the leaves once a week. The result of research showed that the growth of generative or appear of the flower of foliar fertilizer could be excited or make fast with given various kind of foliar fertilizer be composed of high P (Posfor). Foliar fertilizer Gandasil-B N:P:K (6:20:30) with 1 g/liter inclined water concentration given a result better compared with foliar fertilizer and another concentration.
