Abstract

The HIV/AIDS epidemic is still one of the biggest problems today. The main strategy for controlling and preventing HIV is to achieve the triple 95% target by 2030. In Indonesia, this target has not yet been achieved. Key populations and pregnant women are the populations most vulnerable to HIV infection. This study aims to examine the distribution of cumulative HIV/AIDS cases, HIV/AIDS cases in key groups (MSM, PSP, IDUs, Waria) and pregnant women as well as the reach of HIV/AIDS treatment health service facilities and places at risk of HIV/AIDS transmission in Palembang City. This type of research is descriptive research with an ecological study design. The population groups studied were 18 sub-districts in Palembang City. This research uses secondary data sourced from the Palembang City Health Service and the Intan Maharani Foundation. The data analysis used is spatial analysis with overlay and buffering methods using the QGIS application. The results of the research show that the highest distribution of HIV/AIDS cases is in Kemuning, Ilir Barat I and Sukarami Districts, apart from that, based on risk factors, the highest cases are found in homosexuals. The distribution of HIV/AIDS cases among key groups and pregnant women is highest in Ilir Barat I District. Within a 2 km radius there are still several sub-districts where HIV/AIDS treatment service facilities are not yet able to cover the entire area. Meanwhile, within a radius of 5 km, almost all sub-district areas are covered by HIV/AIDS treatment service facilities, only Ilir Barat I, Sematang Borang and Gandus sub-districts are areas that are not yet fully covered by HIV/AIDS treatment service facilities. The sub-district that has the highest number of Hotspots is Ilir Barat I Sub-district. In 2022, HIV/AIDS cases have spread to 18 sub-districts in Palembang City and HIV/AIDS treatment service facilities can almost reach the entire area, although there are several sub-districts whose areas are not yet fully covered Keywords: Spatial Analysis; HIV/AIDS; Key Groups; Health Services; Places at Risk of Transmission
