Abstract

Digital access to health systems is essential to overcome barriers to health information delivery. Access to the right health information can improve individual and community health. This study aims to describe health status based on digital access and sociodemographic factors of people in Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. This study is a secondary data analysis of the World Value Survey Wave 7 (2017-2021) with a cross sectional design. The sample in this study was the population aged 18 years and over, with a total of 2,917 respondents in Indonesia, 1,313 respondents in Malaysia and 1,446 respondents in Thailand. Data were analyzed descriptively. The percentage of respondents with good health status in Indonesia (92.7%), Malaysia (96.2%) and Thailand (98.5%). The percentage of people who had accessed digital information in Indonesia (54.1%), Malaysia (95.4%) and Thailand (72.4%). Respondents in Thailand had the most good health status (98.5%). Meanwhile, respondents who utilized digital access were highest in Malaysia (95.4%). The conclusion of good health status in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, is dominated by respondents who utilize digital access, are male, productive age, have ≤4 family members, work, are married and have a high level of education. The suggestion in this study is that the government can ensure that internet access is more evenly distributed and stable so that the internet penetration rate increases and the scope of of utilization digital health is wider
