Abstract

PT Meganta Batu Sampurna is a mining company that focuses on andesite stone production located in Batujajar Village, Cigudeg District, Bogor Regency, West Java. In the production process, andesite rock is demolished using drilling and blasting processes. With standard blasting results measuring ≤80 cm by 70% and ≥80 cm by 30%. Based on the average fragmentation of 30 blasts in November�December 2023, the andesite boulder produced from the blasting process is 36.61% based on Split Desktop 2.0 calculation. Geometry redesign is needed to optimize the fragmentation size to be obtained, redesign using the formula of C. J Konya (1991), to obtain changes in the size of the burden to 2 meters; spacing to 2.75 meters; stemming to 2 meters; sub-drilling to 0.6 meters; hole depth to 8.6 meters; addition of explosives to 25.542 kg per blast hole; powder factor value to 0.58 kg/bcm (0.23 kg/ton); volume of blasted rock to 44 bcm / lbg (110.44 tons/lbg) and total production to 2098.36 tons/blast. Based on the results of the redesign geometry calculation, the rock fragmentation size ≤80 cm is 94,31% and the rock fragmentation size ≥80 cm is 5.69% based on Split Desktop 2.0 calculation.
