Abstract

The research was obtained to define the effect supplementation of lactid acid bacterium (LAB) on the performance of Arabiab chick starter phase. A completely randomized design was used in this research. The treatment were P0 (control / without LAB), P1 (0,1 ml LAB), P2 (0,2 ml LAB), P3 (0,3 ml LAB) in each treatments was replicated four times. The parameters were mortality, feed consumption, total counting LAB in instestines, body weight gain, and feed efficiency. Data were analyzed by using analysis variance. The difference between treatments was tested with least significant difference and honestly significant defference test. The research indicated that the supplementation lactid acid bacterium significant influenced the feed consumption, body weight gain, and total counting LAB in intestines (P<0,05), they are on affected feed efficiency and mortality (P<0,05). The best result was showed by 0,3 ml LAB. It was concluded supplementation LAB can increase performance of Arabian chick.
