Abstract

The B2SA diet is an eating pattern with a schedule for one meal based on time, which meets the principles of balanced nutrition according to people's acceptance and purchasing power. The aim of this research is to determine the description of mothers' knowledge and attitudes regarding the B2SA program in West Semendawai District, East OKU Regency. This research is qualitative research. Research informants were taken using purposive sampling, namely 10 mothers and husbands in West Semandawai District and 3 staff from the Food Security Service. Data collection using in-depth interviews and document review. Data were analyzed by triangulation. The results of the research were that the majority of mothers were >30 years old and had an income of <Rp. 1,130,000, most of the mothers had at least a high school education. Most mothers already know the term B2SA, although only a few understand the terms diverse, nutritious, balanced and safe. All mothers have responded to the B2SA program by varying their food. All mothers implemented the B2SA program in their families. All expert informants knew about the B2SA program and one supporting informant knew about the B2SA program. All expert informants and supporting informants have responded well to the B2SA program. It is hoped that mothers will play an active role in socializing the B2SA program and further innovate local food by adding other ingredients or spices. It is hoped that the Food Security Service can provide more education and practice filling plates with nutritious local food based on the Fill My Plate principle and carry out monitoring and evaluation of the B2SA program.
