Abstract

This study aims to determine the best of oil palm on the vegetative growth of oil palm plantations immature on peatland. The research was conducted in the village of Sei Rotan. Gelumbang districts, Muara Enim Regency, fforn February to April 2013. This study uses a randomized block design (RBD) with 4 treatments and groups of 3 replications so that there are 12 treatment unit. Each unit consists of 3 of the treatment plants. So all of them are 36 plants. The treatments tested were control (without giving bunch ash) and giving bunch ash 20 kg, 30 kg, 60 kg per plant. The results that the replications of 60 kg of oil plm has not been able to give a good effect on the growth of plant height, leaf chlorophyll, leaf area, and increase the number of foliage on the palm leaves of the plant vegetative growth of oil palm plantations immature (TBM) on peatlands for two months observation. Giving of bunch ash outside plant oil palm bunch ash at different doses of bunch have not been able to provide good response the high rainfall and weed competition cause at various doses of in giving bunch ash is not significant effect on the vegetative growth of immature oil palms.
