Abstract

There are still toddlers in Palembang City who have a height that is not appropriate for their age and have a risk of stunting. There are many risk factors that affect the linear growth of toddlers, from the five variables in the study, Environmental Sanitation Hygiene is one of the risk factors for having a height that is not appropriate for age in toddlers in the Palembang city area, this research is a quantitative study, the research design is "descriptive analysis" and a "cross-sectional" approach, which is one of the research methods of analytical research that examines the relationship between effects (disease or health conditions). The data were analyzed univariately, bivariately with the Chi-square test, and multivariate with multiple logistic regression tests with risk factor models. Selected by total sampling, data were analyzed univariately, bivariate with Chi-square test, and multivariate with multiple logistic regression test with risk factor model. Bivariate results show there is no relationship between environmental sanitation hygiene with height of toddlers obtained p-value of 0.075 (p-value> 0.05), there is a significant relationship between economic status with height of toddlers obtained p-value of 0.043 (p-value> 0.05), There is no relationship between toddler food intake and toddler height obtained p-value of 0.074 (p-value>0.05), there is no relationship between birth weight and toddler height obtained p-value of 0.298 (p-value>0.05), there is no relationship between exclusive breastfeeding with toddler height obtained p-value of 1.000 (p- value>0.05) Multivriate results show that there is no significant relationship between Environmental Hygiene Sanitation (adjusted PR 1.427). The conclusion of this study is that sanitary hygiene will be able to affect the height of toddlers if other risk factors can also affect it and poor sanitation. It is recommended to increase education about stunting for mothers of toddlers and provide good nutrition for toddler.
