Abstract
Background: The problems of malnutrition and extent of exclusive breastfeeding is a major problem in Indonesia. The prevalence of malnutrition in children under five in Indonesia approximately 19.6% (Riskesdas, 2013). According to SDKI in 2012, the percentage of infants who received exclusive breastfeeding (for infants under 6 months of age) by 41%, exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 4-5 months by 27%, and who continue breastfeeding until the child is 2 years old by 55%. Nutritional problems that occur can be caused by two factors, namely direct and indirect. One aspect that is not directly related to factors that affect the nutritional status of infants is mother's knowledge. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between mother's knowledge and nutritional status in children under two years of age were given fed formula in the working area health centers in Tanjung Raja, Ogan Ilir. Methods: This study is a quantitative analytical observation with cross sectional approach. Respondents in this study were mothers with babies aged 0-24 months who had been given formula in a neighborhood health centers Work of Tanjung Raja with totaling of 94 respondents. The collection of data carried out directly to the subject of research by questionnaires and recording the results of anthropometric measurements of children's nutrition. Hypothesis testing using statistical analysis klomogorov Smirnov test. Results: there was no correlation between the level pengtahuan nutritional status of mothers with children under two years who were given formula fed in working area of health centers in Tanjung Raja, Ogan Ilir. Conclusion: It is concluded that the level of knowledge is not related to the mother's nutritional status in children under two years of age who were given formula Fed Keywords: Children aged 0-24 months, Knowledge, nutritional status
