Abstract

PT Pertamina RU II Dumai is one of company in which produce various last produet or decreased produet from earth oil to fulfill source of energy as main choice in industries, trasportations, and houses. Doing process of managing at crude oil need to know the characteristic and specification from crude oil itself (feed stock). To know the qualities and the advantages of earth oil, there are two parameters at analysis earth oil. They are phisical parameter and Chemical parameter. Feed stock which manage at PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai ( Persero ) is crude oil produetion of PT. Chevron Pasific Indonesia which produced by Duri (Duri Crude field) type of “Naphthenic-naphthanic” and Minas (Minas Crude ) type “Paraffinicintermediate ” Process managing of crude oil at PT Pertamina RU II Dumai is done by phisical and Chemical ways which divided in three complexs of managing namely: HSC ( Hydro Skimming Complex), HCC (Hydro Cracking Complex), HOC ( Heavy Oil Complex). These will produce higher economical values than previous managing. Avtur is one of bumed material from earth oil produced by PT Pertamina RU II Dumai which have elear until golden colour, range boil point between 145 - 300°C, and used as burned of airplane. Generally, avtur has higher qualities than other bumed materials which using Mess urgent’ such as heating or land transportation. Avtur usually contains certain additive to less the risk of freezing or explosing caused of high temperature and other characteristics. The calculation result of material balance got that Avtur produetion in faet is about 8,35 % from amount of feed stock in dumai mill is 127 bbl dan SPK mill is 49 bbl. Qualities °f Avtur (Aviation Turbine) in pertamina RU II Dumai is good and ftilfil the requirement and specification which has standardise and appropriate to be marketable.
