Abstract

Sampah laut yang terdapat di pesisir Sungsang menjadi masalah cukup serius yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat yang tinggal di wilayah pesisir Sungsang. Sampah laut di wilayah pesisir dapat mengakibatkan berbagai permasalahan yang dapat merusak habitat alami seperti, hutan mangrove, atau ekosistem sungai dan juga berbagai macam penyakit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sampah laut anorganik yang berada di pesisir Sungsang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2023 di Marga Sungsang, Sungsang II dan Sungsang IV. Sampah yang menjadi kajian yaitu sampah laut anorganik dengan transek berdasarkan metode Standings-stock survay. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan material sampah laut yang ditemukan di pesisir Sungsang berjumlah 9 jenis materil yaitu kemasan makanan, cup minum, kantong plastik, kemasan non makanan, sedotan, wadah plastik, jarring, styrofoam, botol minum, logam, karet, kaca, kain, tali plastik, gantungan plastik dan tali tambang. Jumlah sampah laut anorganik yang ditemukan berkisar 68-78 unit di masing-masing stasiun. Jumlah total dari seluruh stasiun yaitu 218 unit jenis sampah dengan berat total 2310,44 gr. Sampah plastik berupa kemasan makanan merupakan sampah yang paling banyak ditemukan.
