Abstract

Sungsang Coastal, located in South Sumatra Province, is the largest village in Banyuasin II Regency, located near the Musi River Estuary. The mangrove area in the Sungsang coast is one of the habitats used by the mudskippers as first and second level consumers in this habitat. The purpose of this research is to analyzethe morphometric characteristics, length-weight relationship and the relationship between the morphometric characteristics of Mudskippers (Periophthalmodon schlosseri) and parameters at Sungsang Coast. This research was conducted in July 2023 by five stations. Analysis of morphometric characteristics was carried out at Marine Bioecology Laboratory. The results show that Mudskippers can not only be found near mangrove areas but can also be found near residential areas. The average TL is 20.08 cm and the average SL is 17.34 cm with a positive allometric growth pattern (b=3.45). KN shows that 10 fish samples were flat and 5 fish samples were fat. DO parameters are closely related to the growth of WCF, LCF, LD1, HL, TL, SL, LA, DAC, HD, PCF, DPI and soil pH parameters are closely related to the growth characteristics of WPF.
