Abstract
This study aims to analyze the impact of cashless payments on economic growth in 5 emerging market countries consisting of Brazil, India, Indonesia, Mexico and Turkey. Economic growth in this study is calculated through GDP per capita and non-cash payments in this study are represented by transactions through debit cards, credit cards and mobile banking. The data used in this study is panel data from 2012-2022. This data is obtained secondarily from the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). This study uses the Random Effect Model method with the results of the study showing that debit cards have a significant negative effect on economic growth and credit cards and mobile banking have a significant positive effect on economic growth.
