Abstract

The fish and fish product processing and preservation industry is an industry that has very high export potential. This research aims to look at the development and influence of the cost structure and export competitiveness of the fish and fish product processing and preservation industry (KBLI: 1021) in Indonesia. The data used is secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics and Uncomtrade in 1992–2021. This research uses multiple linear analysis techniques with the OLS (Ordinary Least Square) method, and the results obtained show that the raw material cost and rental cost variables have a significant effect on the value, with probabilities of 0.0249 and 0.0013. Meanwhile, the labor cost variable and the energy cost variable do not have a significant effect on the export competitiveness of the fish processing and preservation industry and fish products in Indonesia, with probability values of 0.9382 and 0.1908.
