Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of financial technology and monetary policy on the velocity of money in Indonesia. The data used in this research is secondary data for the period January 2019 to December 2022. The data obtained was sourced from Bank Indonesia and the Central Statistics Agency. This research uses quantitative analysis and multiple linear regression or Ordinary Least Square. The research results show that credit cards have a positive and significant influence on the velocity of money in Indonesia because high velocity of money indicates high transaction activity in a country. Meanwhile, float funds have a negative and significant relationship to the velocity of money in Indonesia because the more funds are deposited, the velocity of money will decrease and debit cards have a negative and insignificant relationship to the velocity of money in Indonesia due to the decline in people making transactions in Indonesia. during the Covid-19 pandemic which caused a decline in GDP and affected the velocity of money in Indonesia. In these findings, it is recommended that the Indonesian government needs to consider policies that support controlled growth in the speed of money. The aim is to ensure that the speed of Indonesian money can grow steadily, which will ultimately support the country's economic growth
