Abstract

TYA AULIA.” The Impact Of Organic Mulch And Frequency Fertilization Application On Butterhead Lecttuce (Lactuca sativa L. Var. Capitata) Growth OnFloating Cultivation Technique.” (Supervised by BENYAMIN LAKITAN). Butterhead lettuce (Lactuca sativa L. var.Capitata) is a leafy vegetable thathas not been widely cultivated and consumed by the Indonesian people. This lettucebelongs to the same species as cloth lettuce such as grand rapid lettuce. Butterheadlettuce has the potential as a choice of community vegetable food consumption. This is supported by the content of vitamin A, vitamin B1 and vitamin C, nutritionalcontent including minerals, energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates and fiber contained in this lettuce. This research will be conducted in Jakabaring District (104°44"4 "Eand 3°01΄35 "S), Palembang, South Sumatra from June to August 2023.The research was conducted using a Randomized Group Design (RGD) with 2 (two) factors, namely the first factor is the use of several organic mulches consisting of 3types of organic mulch and the second factor is the application of fertilizer which is divided into 3 fertilization divisions. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications and each replication contained 2 plants. So that the total number of plants observedwas 54 plants. Factor I is the use of organic mulch, namely; M0 = Control / withoutmulch, M1 = Mulch of ketapang leaves, M2 = Mulch of sawdust Factor II is the application of fertilizer (division of fertilization), namely P1 = 6 grams of NPK fertilizer 1 time application at 2 mst, P2 = 6 grams of NPK fertilizer which is dividedinto 2 applications at 2 mst and 4 mst, P3 = 6 grams of NPK fertilizer which is divided into 3 applications at 2 mst, 4 mst and 6 mst. Keywords: Butterhead lettuce, Organic mulch, NPK fertilizer distribution, SoilmoistureTYA AULIA. “Dampak Penggunaan Beberapa Mulsa Organik Dan Frekuensi Aplikasi Pupuk Npk Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Selada Butterhead (Lactuca sativa L. Var. Capitata) Pada Teknik Budidaya Terapung.” (Dibimbing oleh BENYAMIN LAKITAN). Selada Butterhead (Lactuca sativa L.var. Capitata) merupakan sayuran daun yang belum luas dibudidayakan dan dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat indonesia. Selada ini termasuk spesies yang sama dengan selada lain seperti selada grand rapid. Selada butterhead berpotensi sebagai pilihan konsumsi pangan sayuran masyarakat. Hal ini didukung oleh kandungan vitamin A, vitamin B1 dan vitamin C, Kandungan nutrisi meliputi mineral, energi, protein, lemak, karbohidrat dan serat yang terkandung pada selada ini. Pada teknik budidaya terapung. Penelitian ini akandilaksanakan Kecamatan Jakabaring (104°44"4"E dan 3°01΄35"S), Kota Palembang, Sumatera Selatan yang di lakukan pada bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2023. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAKF)dengan 2 (dua) faktor, yaitu faktor pertama adalah penggunaan beberapa mulsa organik yang terdiri dari 3 jenis mulsa organik dan faktor kedua aplikasi pupuk yang terbagi menjadi 3 pembagian pemupukan. Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 3 ulangan dan masing-masing ulangan terdapat 2 tanaman. Sehingga jumlah keseluruhan tanaman yang di amati terdapat 54 tanaman.Faktor I adalah penggunaan mulsa organik yaitu ; M0 = Kontrol/tanpa mulsa, M1 = Mulsa daun ketapang, M2 =Mulsa serbuk gergaji Faktor II adalah aplikasi pupuk (pembagian pemupukan) yaitu P1 = Pemberian pupuk NPK 6 gram 1 kali aplikasi pada 2 mst, P2 = Pemberian pupuk NPK 6 gram yang terbagi menjadi 2 kali aplikasi pada 2 mstdan 4 mst, P3 = Pemberian pupuk NPK 6 gram yang terbagi menjadi 3 kali aplikasipada 2 mst, 4 mst dan 6 mst.
