Abstract
The aim of this research was to find optimum dosage of organic manure to weed growth and sweet com production. The research carried out at farmer Iand Timbangan village, subdistrict of North Indralaya Ogan Ilir regency. From April to July 2012. The method was used in the reseach was Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with 7 treatments, four replications. The flrst factor were dose of organic manure (P) : (Po) without organic manure, (Pi) manure 3 ton ha'1, (P2) manure 6 tons ha"1, (P3) manure 9 tons ha1, (P4) manure 12 tons ha*1, (P5) manure 15 tons ha'1, (P6) manure 18 tons ha'1 The results of this study indicated that the factors of organic fertilizer 18 ton ha'1 was not significantly improve the results at the optimum dose and still needs to be improved because it tends to still show a linear efFect. The highest dosage of organic manure to sweet com production at 18 ton ha*1 with fresh weids production 12,38 MT. Related to dosage apllied also give minimum weeds growth with SDR 11,45 %. Weed dominant before planting are Borreria alata, Borreria latifolia and Paspalum conjugatum. Weed growth increase whenever were treated by organic manure. The dominant weed after planting was Borreria alata, Ageratum conyzoides and Phyllantus niruri.
