Abstract

Entrepreneurship education is an educational process regarding aspects of entrepreneurship that can foster patterns of thinking, attitudes, and mentality in themselves. This study aims to determine the effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial readiness of Sriwijaya University Economics Education students. This research is a causality associative research using two data collection techniques, namely questionnaires and interviews. Instrument validation uses Product Moment Correlation testing, while reliability testing uses Cronbach alpha testing. The population and sample in this study were students of the Economic Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University Class of 2019-2020 with 101 respondents. Before testing the hypothesis, prerequisite tests have been carried out, including the normality test of normally distributed data, followed by a simple regression linearity test obtained by linear patterned data. Based on the calculation of the t-test which shows the t_count obtained a value of 8.2 greater than the t-table 1.660 (8.2> 1.660), the results of this study indicate that there is an effect of entrepreneurship education on the entrepreneurial readiness of Sriwijaya University Economics Education students in 2019-2020. The coefficient of determination is 60%, which means that entrepreneurship education affects entrepreneurial readiness by 60% and the rest is influenced by other variables. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that Sriwijaya University Economic Education students will continue to develop their businesses so that they expand their market share and are eager to participate in entrepreneurship learning, seminars and training.
