Abstract
Planning and Designing Youth Center with Passive Design Application in Palembang City is designed as a place that accommodates a variety of youth activities, ranging from sports, arts, education, to hobbies. The main purpose is to facilitate Palembang teenagers in developing their interests and talents. Located at Jalan Jakabaring, Kelurahan 8 Ulu, Kecamatan Ulu I, Palembang City, this location was chosen because it is suitable for building various sports facilities and other support for teenagers. This area consists of several facilities including badminton hall mass, auditorium mass, manager mass, commercial mass, community mass with two floors and will be supported by an outdoor activity area which includes a multipurpose field area, skatepark area, and a communal area in the form of a green open area. The concept of designing this Youth Center uses a Dynamic Concept that represents the character of free, carefree and interacting teenagers. Implementation of passive design elements in building orientation, openings, facades, vegetation, insulation materials, and cooling effects.
