Abstract

Bauji variety shallots can grow in lowlands (6 – 80 m asl) in the dry season. Besides being able to be cultivated on dry land, shallots can also be planted on wetlands by floating cultivation. For optimal shallots growth, organic fertilizers are given, namely, chicken fertilizer with a content of N 2.59%, P 3.09%, K 2.46%, Ca 12.66%, Mg 0.91%, Na 0.69%, Fe 1,758 ppm, Mn 572 ppm, Zn 742 ppm, Cu 80 ppm. This study was aimed to determine the effect of applying various doses of chicken manure fertilizer on the growth and yield of Bauji variety shallots plants with a floating system. The method used in this study was a Randomized Block Design consisting of 4 treatments, each treatment was repeated 3 times and 3 plants for each treatment, resulting in 36 total number of plants. The application of organic fertilizer chicken manure consisted of 4 (four) treatments, namely: P0 = Control (Without chicken manure fertilizer), P1 = 10 tons / ha (40 g Chicken manure fertilizer / polybag), P2 = 20 tons / ha (80 g Chicken manure fertilizer / polybag) and P3 = 30 tons/ha (120 g Chicken manure fertilizer / polybag). The data obtained were analyzed using the Annova test followed by the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The results showed that all treatments did not differ markedly in almost all parameters observed, but the treatment P3 = 30 tons / ha (120 g chicken manure fertilizer / polybags) had the best results. The treatments showed significant impact on the parameters of tiller number at 3 weeks after planting (WAP) and total chlorophyll content at 6 (WAP).
