Abstract

Pabrik pembuatan gas etlien dengan kapasitas 560.000 ton/tahun ini direncanakan berdiri tahun 2022 di Lawang, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur yang diperkirakan memiliki luas area sebesar 8 ha. Proses pembuatan etilen menggunakan proses dehidrasi etanol dalam reaktor jenis multitube fixed bed (R- 01) dengan katalis ZSM-5. Kondisi operasi pembuatan etilen adalah 440oC dan tekanan 5,87 atm dengan reaksi: C2H5OH C2H4 + H2O Produk gas etilen yang dihasilkan selanjutnya melewati proses separasi menggunakan partial condenser (PC-01) dan knock out drum (KOD-01) dilanjutkan dengan purifikasi gas etilen melalui proses cryogenic distillation menggunakan kolom distilasi (KD-01). Pabrik ini merupakan perusahaan perseroan terbatas (PT) dengan sistem organisasi line and staff, yang dipimpin oleh Dewan Komisaris dengan jumlah karyawan sebanyak 225 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ekonomi, pabrik etilen ini layak didirikan dengan perincian sebagai berikut:  Total Capital Investment = US $ 132.258.243,00  Selling Price per Year = US $ 1.370.656.247,53  Total Production Cost = US $ 1.202.544.008,65  Annual Cash Flow = US $ 128.053.067,81  Pay Out time = 1,37 tahun  Rate of Return = 87,65%  Discounted Cash Flow = 95,33%  Break Even Point = 39,55%  Service Life = 11 tahun
