Abstract

Pada penelitian ini dilakukan sintesis komposit Fe3O4/Graphene oxide/ Kitosan untuk degradasi zat warna metilen biru. Hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi menggunakan instrumen XRD, SEM-EDS, VSM dan UV-VIS DRS. Sintesis komposit Fe3O4/Graphene oxide/ Kitosan menggunakan metode kopresipitasi menghasilkan serbuk berwarna hitam kecoklatan yang mempunyai sifat magnetik. Hasil karakterisasi XRD Fe3O4/Graphene oxide/ Kitosan menunjukkan puncak difraksi pada 2"θ" = 35,49° dengan ukuran kristal sebesar 23,29nm. Hasil karakterisasi SEM-EDS Fe3O4/Graphene oxide/ Kitosan menunjukkan morfologi berbentuk agregat dan memiliki unsur penyusun C (83,20%), O (11,70%), Na (1,00%), N (0,70%) dan Fe (2,50%). Hasil karakterisasi VSM menunjukkan nilai magnetisasi komposit Fe3O4/Graphene oxide/ Kitosan sebesar 25,39 emu/g. Hasil karakterisasi UV-VIS DRS menunjukkan nilai band gap Fe3O4/Graphene oxide/ Kitosan sebesar 1,40eV.
