Abstract
This thesis is entitled "Development of the Goa Putri and Goa Harimau tourist attractions and their influence on improving the socio-economic life of the people of Padang Bindu Village, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (2002-2020)". The aim of this research is to determine the development of the Goa Putri and Goa Harimau tourist attractions and the influence of these developments on improving the socio-economic life of the people of Padang Bindu Village. The method used is a historical method with research steps, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, historiography, while the approach used is a sociological and economic approach. Based on the results, it is known that the Goa Putri and Goa Harimau tourist attractions have been researched by archaeologists, the Goa Putri tourist attraction has been managed since 2002 and Goa Harimau since 2008 by the Ogan Komering Ulu Culture and Tourism Office so that from the beginning of the management until 2020 there have been many improvements, development and promotions carried out by the government to support needs and attract tourists. This development increases the number of tourists and greatly influences the socio-economic life of village communities because it can provide new knowledge and change people's mindsets and can create jobs such as management employees, builders and open up business opportunities for people who want to trade
