Abstract
The porposes to define the effect of adding Phytase in broiler feed on quality of carcass. The research was at 7 weeks (May - June) in laboratory of Animal Nutrition and feed, Agriculture Faculty, University of Sriwijaya. A Completely Random ized Design with 6 treatments was in this study. The treatment were : P0 (100% basal diet), P1 (100% basal diet + Enzim Phytase 500 FTU/kg), P2 (100% basal diet + Enzim Phytase 600 FTU/kg), P3 (100% basal diet + Enzim Phytase 700 FTU/kg), P4 (100% basal diet + Enzim Phytase 800 FTU/kg), P5 (100% basal diet + Enzim Phytase 900 FTU/kg). The carcass its treatments is replicated for 3 times. carcass percentage, carcass commercial cut and meat bone ratio were observed as parameter. The result of this research show that adding Phytase dosen’t significantly affect the parameter measured. The percentage weights of carcas are 68.070, 66.361, 65.733, 65.564, 67.164, 77.777, of commercial carcas are of breast are 30.142, 24.393, 26.010, 25.867, 24.821, 26.065, of thigh are 22.543, 24.886, 24.254, 24.449, 23.581, 23.081, of wings are 7.874, 7.826, 6.887, 5.881, 6.432, 5.131 and meat bone ratios of breast are 3.535, 4.127, 4.503, 3.325, 3.752, 4.440 and of thigh are 2.185, 2.278, 2.282, 2.045, 1.984, 2.153, respectiverly for each treatments. In conclusion adding phytase to bascd diet can’t improvc broilcr’s carscass quality.
