Abstract
This research aims to explain how Sports Diplomacy is carried out by Saudi Arabia by using Football (Saudi Pro League) as a tool to achieve Saudi Arabia's interests. The research began with the Saudi Vision 2030 project created by MBS with the aim of no longer depending on petroleum, where petroleum is the largest income of the State of Saudi Arabia. This research uses the Sports Diplomacy theory by Stuart Murray, in Saudi Arabia's Sports Diplomacy through the Saudi Pro League which uses Sports Envoy and Sporting Events as a Sports Diplomacy tool. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method because the data used is mostly in the form of sentences, words and phrases. The data obtained in this research uses secondary data, including: books, articles, journals, news websites and official documents. The results of the research show that through the use of 2 Sports Diplomacy tools, Saudi Arabia has had a positive impact, that the Sports Diplomacy carried out by Saudi Arabia has improved Saudi Arabia's economy in the non-petroleum sector and is in line with Saudi Arabia's Saudi Vision 2030. Examples include success in improving the economy from the tourism sector, infrastructure, introducing culture, language, increasing employment opportunities and local economic growth. However, with the steps taken from Saudi Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia must continue to implement its culture and policies, where new cultures will certainly enter which of course conflict with some of Saudi Arabia's old policies because Saudi Arabia is a conservative Islamic country. Keywords: Saudi Pro League, Saudi Vision 2030, Sports Diplomacy, MBS, Saudi Arabia
