Abstract

This research aims to determine teachers' strategies for improving students' critical thinking abilities using the inquiry learning model. This research uses a qualitative approach using the case study method. The sampling technique used in this research was a purposive sampling technique with 4 informants. The data collection techniques used are Interview, Observation and Documentation techniques. From the results of the research carried out, it was found that the teacher's strategy in improving students' critical thinking skills is by using the inquiry learning model, namely an interpretive orientation in which the teacher asks students to search and find, formulate analytical problems, propose analytical hypotheses, collect data, then test the hypothesis with evaluation and analysis and formulate conclusions, then students do questions and answers, with this students can be active and can improve students' critical thinking skills
