Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of project-based learning on the science process skills of children aged 5-6 years in Ain-Nur Preschool, Plaju Darat Village, Plaju District, Palembang City. The research method used in this research is pre-experimental quantitative research with a one shot case study design. The sampling in this study was purposive sampling with a comparison of children who had different science process skills, totaling 25 children in class B1. The data collection technique used is through observation with the help of checklist sheets and action tests through playing using project-based learning. The data analysis technique uses the t-test with the requirement to carry out a data normality test. The results of the data analysis that have been carried out show that tcount is 5.14 and ttable is 2.0, seen from the distribution table t α = 0.05 and the degree of freedom (dk) n-1 is 19. This means that the value of tcount ≥ ttable. So based on the results of the decision it is stated that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of the analysis using the t-test, the value of tcount is 5.14 and degrees of freedom (dk) 19 so that the ttable value is 2.0, so the tcount value is 5.14 ≥ 2.0 ttable from the calculation results, it is stated that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of project-based learning on the science process skills of children aged 5-6 years in Ain-Nur Early Childhood Education, Kelurahan Plaju Darat Kecamatan Plaju Kota Palembang.
