Abstract

Penilaian kesesuaian lahan merupakan proses yang melibatkan survei dan interpretasi topografi, tanah, vegetasi, iklim, serta aspek lain dari lanskap dengan tujuan khusus untuk mengidentifikasi potensi penggunaan lahan yang dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kelas kesesuaian lahan dan faktor-faktor pembatas yang memengaruhi kesesuaian lahan untuk ditanami tanaman karet dan memberikan rekomendasi input usaha perbaikan untuk mencapai penilaian kesesuaian lahan potensial tanaman karet di Desa Mulya Sari Kecamatan Tanjung Lago Kabupaten Banyuasin. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April 2023. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah survei tingkat detail dan observasi langsung kelapangan. Berdasarkan pengamatan di lapangan dan uji analisis di laboratorium didapatkan bahwa ada tiga faktor pembatas yang tergolong dalam kelas kesesuaian lahan S2 (Cukup Sesuai).
