Abstract
This research attempts to analyze price rigidity of food commodities and its causes in Palembang city, such as wheat flour, palm oil, sugar, ketchup, tempe and tahu. this research using the approach of mean's price rigidity concept, which found administered price for wholesale at 1926-1938 caused by industrial concentrations and raw materials. some technical analysis use in this research are: Variations coefficient, simple regression, and policy simulations. the data use in this research are secondary and primary data which is price of commodities. the variations coefficient indicate the increase of price rigidity of commodities are by caused price of raw materials. estimated regression shows that there is a positive correlation between commodities price and raw materials, while the other has a negative correlations. on the other hand, policy simulations shows a positive correlations between policy with price commodities and raw materials.
