Abstract
The aim of this study was to identify the effectiveness of supplementary fertilizer on the growth and production kailan after four harvests . This study was conducted from February 2013 until July 2013 at Agriculture Bayang’s House of Agronomy Departement, Faculty of Agriculture , Sriwijaya University , Indralaya , Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. This study used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with giving supplementary fertilizer treatment is a mixture of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) with complementary liquid fertilizer (PPC) consist of 9 treatment level that is PoDo (without POC and PPC), PiD0 (POC 1 kg/10 lit.water and without PPC), P2D0 (POC 2 kg/10 lit.water and without PPC), PqDi (without POC and PPC 2 ml/lit.water), P1D1 (POC 1 kg/10 litwater and PPC 2 ml/lit.water), P2D1 (POC 2 kg/10 lit.water and PPC 2 ml/lit.water), P0D2 (without POC and PPC 3 ml/lit.water), P1D2 (POC 1 kg/10 lit.water and PPC 3 ml/lit.water), P2D2 (POC 2 kg/10 lit.water and PPC 3 ml/litwater). It was repeated 3 times, so there are 27 units, in each unit consist of 3 plants and total is 81 plants. The results showed that the supplementary fertilizer very significant effect on the amount of harvested bud fourth, second harvest weight of shoots, third harvest and significantly affect the weight of shoots first and third harvest, harvesting chlorophyll content of third and main stem diameter but not significant effect on the steeper bud, number of leaves, total leaf area and root weight. Giving supplementary fertilizer that liquid organic fertilizer 2 kg/10 lit.water and liquid fertilizer complement 3 ml/lit.water (P2D2) showed the best result for growth and production kailan.
