Abstract

Guests if they want to settle usually do not know and know more clearly about the layout of the hotel occupied. If there is a fire, the most important thing to save is the occupants of the building. Difficulty of Hotels in evacuating rescue fires can occur. Therefore, planning in a good system is needed, which is called fire management. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of fire management in hotel X. MethodThis study used a qualitative approach to analyze and describe a situation objectively about the facts of the hot el condition. The sources of information in this study were 1 Engineering Hotel Supervisor (concurrently as a fire manager), 1 housekeeping leader, 1 Dsnru Security, 1 FO Leader. Data retrieval techniques used in-depth interviews, document reviews and observation. Results The results of the study showed that management policy had been socialized to all employees. An organization and emergency response procedures had been established in accordance with clear job descriptions. There was identification of hazards sources, but they hadn’t been well documented. Prevention and control for fire hazard programs had been conducted properly. Active protection facilities had been conducted in accordance with the standards. Fire inspections had been conducted on a scheduled and written basis. Fire emergency response had been formed by a special teams, but emergency response advice hadn’t fulfilled the standard requirements. Investigation and reporting had been conducted by engineering staff. Fire audits had been conducted internally and externally. Conclusion: Analysis of fire management implementation in Hotel X had been conducted, but it has to increase SOP socialization to employees and increase fire evacuation facilities.
